More precision in the digital lab

icons touchMaximum precision is required in laboratories. Modern data loggers and sensors already allow extremely reliable recording of all kinds of measured values. To ensure that there is no loss of accuracy during data transmission and subsequent analysis, more and more laboratories are relying on new interfaces that seamlessly network data loggers, LIMS and peripheral devices.

The demands placed on laboratories are becoming increasingly complex. More and more often, unplanned additional requirements arise, and at the same time, work is subject to enormous time and cost pressures. Strict FDA or GAMP/GMP requirements demand detailed documentation and verification obligations, including complete traceability. It is already clear today that without a reliable connection of the measurement technology used to higher-level systems such as LIMS, it will no longer be possible in the future to achieve the required precision while at the same time being economical.

The adaptation of existing work processes in the laboratory through digitalization is therefore no longer just a nice feature - but probably the only way to operate a laboratory economically and thus competitively and future-proof. With iLES, we offer you the answers to tomorrow's questions today. Whether it is the handling of different interfaces, the support of open standards or the secure recording of measurement data with unique time and date stamps: iLES is the platform with which laboratories can look forward to the digital future with confidence.

We would like to know from you how your laboratory is dealing with today's complex requirements - and to what extent your working environment is already prepared for "Lab 4.0". Why not write to us about your experiences right now? We look forward to a constructive exchange of ideas!

I have been working since 1992 on subjects such as efficiency and Productivity increase. Initially in the laboratory and research sectors. Here I made my experiences with analytical instruments and automation. With the change to sales, enterprise solutions such as Scientific Data Management Systems (SDMS), Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS), Laboratory Execution Systems (LES), Electronic Laboratory Journals (ELN) and Document Management Systems (DMS) were added. In the last years I was engaged in the digitization of processes and their measurements. Scince 2019 I'm running the iVention DACH region supporting our customers to move into the digital lab world.
